I receive my Boho Glam Box from Julep a few days ago, and I was pretty excited. Julep Maven is a monthly subscription box that cost $20 per month. Each month you receive a goodie box of Julep products that consist of 2 nail polishes plus another item that can either be another nail polish or a beauty item such a a lotion or mascara. The items are promised to be a value of $40 or more. The items that are sent to you are based on a quiz that you take that makes you out to be one of four categories. You are sent an email the 20th of each month that gives you a preview of what is coming next month and you have between the 24-27th to change what you would like to another of the categories, send it to a friend or simply cancel that month. On top of the subscrition you receive 20% off all of their items and free shipping for being a member and every month you can have add on’s to your box for a low as $5.
This month I received two nail polishes, and body lotion, 3 sample nail polish remover pads and a coupon.
The box with came with “extra goodies” of One-Step Polish Remover Pads. I have not tested them out so I will have to write about them in a later post. As samples they are a good way to test if you are interested in the full size product without having to buy the entire thing.
Value: $1
The lotion was called Body Frosting and it smelled good and doesn’t go on greasy. I think it is of good value, but I generally do not buy fancy lotions. This was great as an the extra beauty item as I would not normally buy it for myself.
Value: $18
The nail polishes I received this month are from their suede collection and they dry quickly with a matte finish. The burgundy wine color is called Minka and the Silver Tone color is Brit. They are really nice fall colors and can have a nice sheen to them if you add a top coat. These are good for all ranges of users as they are easy to apply and are fast drying.
Value: $14 each x 2 = $28
Information on the values of items as taken from the Julep.com site. I had no idea on the pad removers, so I made an estimate. The estimated total value comes to about $47, so pretty good! The picture above is my nails done with the Minka polish and a clear top coat. The color right now is big for fall so it was a pretty excellent choice. Overall I was happy with the selection and will continue to be a member. If you like this post and really want to join please use the link below to subscribe to give me some credit!
